Artevelde University of Applied Sciences is the biggest in its class in Flanders and stands for innovation and quality. The result is a centre of expertise in a warm and professional setting to provide an educational framework of high level. More than 15.000 students are spread over five networks each thoroughly expert in their proper field.
In the expertise network Communication, Media and Design, students can opt for a bachelor in Graphical and Digital Media. In this specific Bachelor degree they can choose one of four final degrees:
  • Crossmedia Design;
  • Media Management and Technology;
  • New Media Development;
  • Audiovisual Design.
Each of these directions is one hundred percent focussed on practical skills and is in close relationship with the professional world. Creativity, innovation and technology go hand in hand to provide our students with the greatest skills needed for a high level professional career. We can state that after six months ninety percent of our graduating students have found a job or have started their own company.
We are also very proud that Belgium is the home of important players in the field of prepress and press who have laid out, together with the Ghent Workgroup, the basic principles of preflight profiles as they have been developed in todays graphical industry. It has always been a privilege for us to work in close contact with these industrial partners and as such the reason we have been educating and using the GWG profiles at our campus from day one.
