China Academy of Printing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CAPT”)

The China Academy of Printing Technology (hereinafter referred to as “CAPT’) was founded in 1956 and was originally directly affiliated to the former General Administration of Press and Publication. In 2002, upon the joint document issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Institution Staffing Commission Office, CAPT was fully incorporated into China Cultural Industry Development Group Co., Ltd. (formerly China Printing Group Corporation), which was established with the approval of the State Council.

As a national-level comprehensive printing information service and scientific research institution in China, CAPT is the supporting unit of the Key Laboratory of Printing Environmental Protection and Intelligent Technology — a key laboratory for science, technology and standards of the publishing industry under the National Press and Publication Administration. It is also a member unit of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Standardization General Group, the chairman unit of the China Printing Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Alliance, and the vice-chairman unit of the China Printing Technology Association. Besides, CAPT undertakes the secretariat work of the National Technical Committee for Printing Machinery Standardization.

In addition, recommended by the Central Propaganda Department and the State Administration for Market Regulation, the president of CAPT was appointed by the Technical Management Board of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as the Chair of ISO Technical Committee 130 on Graphic Technology for the term 2021–2026.
