Mission
The marketing subcommittee focuses on making the Ghent Workgroup’s work known worldwide. Because most of the GWG’s work is highly technical, it needs to be more accessible to non-experts. Because the group’s work is highly valuable to different audiences, it needs to be translated accurately so everyone understands its value and how to use it.
Because of this, the subcommittee focuses on different projects:
- Communication to the print and design community.
Through events, webinars, social media, and newsletters, the subcommittee spreads the word about the work done within the group.
- Outreach to the educational community.
Educational institutions play a crucial role in forming the next generation of experts within the print and design communities. Making it easy for them to obtain the correct information and supporting them in their educational role are key drivers of improvement in the market.
- Documentation.
User guides, background information on specifications, and other supporting documentation is important for experts and non-experts alike to deepen their knowledge.
In all of these initiatives, the subcommittee aims to make the Ghent Workgroup’s work more accessible, understandable, and widely adopted.
