PDF2.0 and PDF/X-6 – Freddy Pieters (member GWG)
Although PDF2.0 has already been published in 2017 the adoption rate is still very low. This presentation focuses on the new features of PDF2.0 that are relevant for the graphic industry. It provides insights in the added value and also lack of added value of some of these new features. These insights can help explain why PDF2.0 has not yet established itself, but also why authoring application developers should make more efforts to support it. As support for PDF2.0 rises users will also have to rely on the use of PDF/X-6, a new version of the PDF exchange format that is based on PDF2.0.
