Established in 1956, Government Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT), Mumbai is an academically autonomous educational institute of the Government of Maharashtra, India. The institute runs a 3 Year full time Diploma Programme in Printing Technology recognized by All India Council of Technical Education and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The intake capacity of the institute is 120 students per year. The curriculum is regularly updated in accordance with industry demands and latest developments so that students get employment in leading organizations.
It is a proud moment for the institute to become a part of GWG workgroup as an educational member, because GWG is a leader in developing print production workflows representing best minds in the graphic industry. GIPT Mumbai will be a dedicated stakeholder of GWG community and through this industry institute interaction initiative; their students and teachers will benefit to understand the best practices as well as to propagate the importance of understanding and accurately implementing the production workflow amongst vendors and end-users which is the mainstay of GWG.
